Work Systems Redesign

Redesigned work rules in union facility including negotiations to consolidate multiple job duties into cross functional positions.  Members were able to cross over tasks including quality, maintenance and operations.  Increasing employee engagement and efficiencies from a traditional union environment.

Business Development

Educated team members on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats surrounding their spray dry business.  Created a culture of continuous improvement as well as business acumen.  Resulted in team eliminating the need for mid-management supervision as well as eliminating over one-third of their workforce due to increasing efficiency and schedule redesign.  Manufacturer eventually consolidated two other facilities into this organization due to their culture and low cost of production.

Component Manufacturer

Start up of a new division within the forth largest home builder to manufacture and source building components and tradesmen.  Manufactured trusses both roof and floor as well as fabricated wall panels delivering components to the job site.  Also, established purchasing and installing the final trim component package on homes.  Profitable throughout the 2008 housing crash until unit sold.

ERP Implementation

Brought into organization after implantation of an Oracle upgrade which shutdown companies entire supply chain.  Successfully got shipments restarted after one week of interruption.  Then unwound entire ERP structure and re-implemented on a case by case basis.  Within 4 months company achieved a 99.7% customer service level.
